LEVEL 3 AND 4 EPC ASSESSMENTS
An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) provides a comprehensive analysis of a building’s energy performance and projected carbon emissions. Each certificate assigns a rating on a scale from A (highest efficiency/lowest emissions) to G, accompanied by a detailed recommendations report outlining measures to improve efficiency, reduce emissions, and lower operating costs.
EPCs are valid for a period of 10 years and are a statutory requirement for all newly constructed, rented, or sold properties.
The current EPC regulations are under government review, with updated guidance anticipated in 2025.

LEVEL 5 EPC ASSESSMENTS
Level 5 Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) assessments are specifically designed for buildings with complex architectural features or advanced building services. This includes properties incorporating elements such as atrium, extensive glazing, automated blind systems, or sophisticated ventilation systems. These assessments are most commonly required for large commercial premises and public buildings.
While a Level 5 assessment can technically be carried out on any type of property, it is generally only recommended where such complexity exists, as the process involves additional costs compared with lower-level assessments.
